JCI declines 0,01% to 3,815.99 led by Bank Mandiri

JAKARTA: Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), a benchmark for all stocks price at Indonesia Stock Exchange, slightly declined 0.01% or 0.28 points to 3,815.99, in line with the regional markets droped.

The JCI was moving at the range of 3,787.69-3,815.99. At the early trading, about two shares fell for every one share increased. More than a half of the shares traded were unchanged.

The biggest contributor for the JCI drop was PT Bank Mandiri Tbk with 2.73 points, followed by PT Bank Mandiri Tbk 1.44 points, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk 1.43 points and PT Bumi Resources 1.23 points.

PT Bank Internasional Indonesia Tbk was one of several stocks that prevented the index drop with positive contribution of 0.66 points, PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk 0.07 point, PT Bank Sinarmas Tbk 0.04 points and PT Indo Acidatama Tbk 0.03 points.

BISNIS-27 Index, the stock benchmark covering 27 stocks and launched by business daily newspaper dubbed Bisnis Indonesia, also decreased 0.01% or 0.04 points to 331.82.

Meanwhile, Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 1.10% to 12,584.17 last night.

Nasdaq declined 0.48% to 2,814.72.
In the regional market, Nikkei 225 decreased 1.82% to 9,822.61, Hang Seng in Hong Kong market slightly abated 0.68% to 25,103.87.

Shanghai SE declined 0.84% to 2,849.85, South Korean's Kospi slipped 1.74% to 2,142.71 and Straits Times in Singapore decreased 0.41% to 3,096.99.

MSCI Asia Pacific declined 0.92% to 905.43. The rupiah was traded down 0.08% against the US dollar at IDR8,579 as of 09.44 a.m. in Jakarta. (wiw)
